Why would I need to enhance my digitized film?
Over time film deteriorates, producing visible damage such as dirt, dust, flicker, stains, and shakiness. Restoring film will reverse this damage, so that you can view your film as it was originally intended.
What is included in the restoration?
Restoration includes: dust and dirt removal, stabilization, and brightness/contrast correction.
Does restoration produce perfect footage?
Not always, however improvements are easily noticeable and provide for a better viewing experience.
When do I need restoration?
Restoration is recommended on films of special value such as weddings, birthday parties, family gatherings, or films to be broadcast on TV. Our specialist will evaluate all your footage and make recommendations on which reel(s) would benefit from full restoration (dust/dirt removal, stabilization, etc.
How long does restoration take?
It may take up to 60 days to restore our clients' films.
