- What Resolution do you scan slides and photos?
- What format do you scan my photos and slides into?
- Can I watch my slides on a TV if I get them onto a DVD-Rom?
What resolution do you scan slides and photos?
For the best quality, we scan your items at the highest resolution possible. Our equipment allows us to scan slides at the 4K resolution and photos as 600DPI.
What format do you scan my slides and photos into?
By default we will scan your slides and photos into the JPG format. This format seems to work the best for most people. At your request we can scan your slides or photos into: TIFF, JPG, JPG2000, PICT, PNG, PSD, and BMP formats.
Can I watch my slides on a TV if I get them onto a DVD-Rom?
DVD-Rom files can usually only be read by a computer. In order to let your DVD player read the files we need to convert them into a DVD slideshow. Make sure to check the box on the order form for DVD slideshow if you are interested. Please see our slide scanning order form for more details.
Some DVD and Blu-Ray players will allow you to view JPG files. To know if your player has this feature, please look up your model on the manufacturer website.
